The Company

An established and highly regarded Building Services consultancy with a longstanding reputation for delivering technically complex engineering projects across the UK. With a dedicated MEP team of 25+ engineers, the practice has particular strength within the healthcare sector, delivering sophisticated mechanical engineering solutions for demanding clinical environments.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing technical advice and attending project meetings.
  • Undertake technical reviews and quality assurance checks to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Mentor and support Graduate and Junior Engineers, providing technical guidance and design oversight.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, technically robust project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong consultancy experience in detailed mechanical building services design.
  • Proven experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory or cleanroom environments.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC systems, engineering calculations and design coordination.
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations and technical guidance.
  • Strong client-facing communication, problem-solving and technical leadership skills.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards CEng would be advantageous.

What's on Offer?

  • £52,000 – £65,000, depending on experience and seniority.
  • Hybrid working – 2–3 days per week in the Manchester office.
  • Exposure to technically challenging healthcare and specialist engineering projects.
  • An established and supportive MEP team of 25+ engineers.
  • Opportunities to mentor developing engineers and influence technical delivery.
