My client has a challenge: they need an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who can operate effectively between the Directors and Senior Engineers.

They are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, provide direction to senior engineers and operate independently, while acting as a trusted technical link between the engineering team and senior leadership.

This isn't simply about finding another Mechanical Design Engineer. The client needs someone with the experience, technical credibility and independence to step into that space between senior engineering and director level.

Who Are YOU?

✅ 7–8+ years’ Mechanical Design experience within Building Services

✅ A stable employment history, ideally with no more than two employers during that period

✅ Comfortable taking ownership of projects and directing experienced engineers

✅ Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions

✅ Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, you will need to be British or have lived continuously in the UK for the past five years, with no individual period of more than 28 consecutive days spent outside the country
