We are working with a leading engineering design consultancy who are looking to build a new team of engineers for their nuclear division in the North West. Thanks to a number of high-profile project wins, across multiple sites and clients; they are in the enviable position of having multiple opportunities across mechanical, electrical, EC&I, process, piping, CAD / drawing and various other disciplines. All of their projects are long term and the roles are being offered on a contract or staff basis to give people as much choice as possible.

One of the key roles they are looking to fill is for a 2D CAD designer to be based on one of their projects in the North West. Key highlights below –
  • Up to £35ph based on experience and suitability. The role has been determined as outside IR35.
  • Long term – this project will be running for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Predominantly home based – average of 4 days per week from home and 1 on site or in the office – this will vary depending on client / project needs over time.

They are looking for experienced and competent professionals that can work alongside the client and subcontractors, consultants and suppliers. Experience of working within the nuclear sector is essential as is the ability to hold SC clearance. Day to day hands on AutoCAD 2D experience is essential for this role, additionally, experience / knowledge across multiple disciplines is advantageous.
