One of Code's multi discipline clients, who are extremely dominant in the Highways and Rail sector, are keen to add to their Geotechnical team across the northern region in the UK.

Based in Yorkshire or Manchester / Cheshire - a Geotechnical Engineer is required at Principal level.

Academic standards :

Degree in engineering geology or civil engineering
MSc/MEng in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering
Minimum 8-10 years relevant post-graduate experience
Professional membership of relevant body (CEng / CGeol)
CSCS card and PTS an advantage

Experience & further info :

Experienced geotechnical engineer to assist with management of the geotechnical teams in Yorkshire and Cheshire offices.
Excellent interpretative reporting and geotechnical design skills (e.g. shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls).
Duties will include interpretative reporting, foundation design and slope stability assessments, design and management of ground investigations, preparation of bids and project costings.
Responsibilities will also include training and support of more junior team members, project management and liaison with clients (both externally and internally from other sectors/offices).
Projects include rail, highways, infrastructure and development with clients including developers, major contractors, the Highways Agency, major infrastructure suppliers, Network Rail and London Underground.

This Principal level opening will present an opportunity to progress to Associate level and beyond.
