This company has a requirement for a talented Building Services Leader, to take responsibility for the Yorkshire region of a major multi disciplinary consultancy.
The Consultancy went through a redundancy phase early in the recession, and is now facing an upturn in work.

The main Board feel that in order to execute the 5 year plan a Catagory "A" appointment is required. The person needs to harbour the same ambitions and attitude as the Board, and to be capable of managing a team of in excess of 30 staff, and fees which will be in the area of £2.5 to £3m within the next 4 years. The Board are extremely aware of the challenge and have got very realistic expectations for this region, and are aware that this is going to be a five year plan with the right person.

They want to appoint someone who has the skills/potential to grow and take the team and achieve its 5 year plan, someone who has the vision to exploit the companies resources, its business relationships and match the Boards ambitions.

This will be a challenging role, and it will prove too daunting for all but the most ambitious and talented Building Services Leaders. However if you are truly ambitious, then this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a market leading business in a strategic role.

Objectives

First year objectives:

Provide strong, positive and structured leadership to the team.
Improve the client relationships.

Longer term goals:

2012 – stabilise the existing team with a steady guiding hand.
2013/14 – by the end of 2013 The Consultancy would envisage the team being circa 20 strong. This will be achieved by maximising the existing regional clients, and developing existing clients from other regions.

Client relationship development
Team leadership & guidance
Addressing the BD teams input/effectiveness
Technical support and development

Commercial
Various local and national frameworks.

Experience

Experience in leading multidisciplined Building Services teams.
Client facing experience.
No less than 5 years of operating within the Yorkshire region in a leadership and client facing capacity.
Chartered status is essential
Degree (Or equivalent) in Building Services or an Engineering / Science based subject
