The role



Idealy, you will be technically rounded and able to offer the benefit of your experiences to more junior mechanical engineers within the team. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to supporting and delivering designs for a broad range of project types and sizes. You may be leading the team, meeting with clients, developing and producing reports, specifications and guidance or overseeing testing and commissioning activities, in each of these you will be expected to draw together and foster a strong team ethic – ensuring the best results are achieved.



About you



You should have a relevant degree in mechanical engineering, building services engineering, or equivalent qualification and be working towards if not already of chartered status. You should have excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process. With extensive previous design experience, and will fully appreciate the importance of associated specialisms including acoustics, fire engineering and computer modelling in the design of buildings and be robust at analysing and interpreting their impact on your scheme.

It is taken as a given that you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have proven ability in negotiating positive solutions, resource planning, leadership and management.
